Hello and welcome to HardwareSavvy. In today's video I will reveal how to protect your physical location information on your Android phone by randomizimg your MAC address.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Tap on Connections

  3. Tap on Wi-Fi, which will have your current active connection. Ensure you’re connected to the WiFi network.

  4. Tap on the gear icon

  5. Tap on “View more” to reveal additional options

  6. Tap on the “MAC address type” if it is set to “phone MAC”. Otherwise, if it’s set to “Randomized MAC”, you’re done! No need to change anything.

  7. Tap to switch to “Randomized MAC”
